Discovery Tan Pioneer Fabric
The evocatively named Discovery Tan Pioneer Cloth captures the pioneering spirit of exploration. Defined by their heavyweights and tight milling means that the Pioneer range of fabrics is highly adaptable. Furthermore, the pioneer range is a good choice for environmentally aware clothing and interiors. This is because this range of cloths are all made using only pure merino wool. Inspired by Pioneers
Inspired by the traditional overcoat used by explorers and pioneers. Introduced in 1772 the overcoat symbolises warmth and protection from the elements while allowing for physical activity. Militaries also adopted the overcoat, to keep soldiers warm during cold postings. The Pioneer range of fabrics offers the same properties as the original overcoats.
With a thickness of about 2mm and weighing 500gsm, the Discovery Tan Pioneer cloth is reassuringly dense. Suited for outerwear, in particular, the wool used in this fabric is inherently breathable.
Colour Variations of Woollen Fabrics
This 100% merino wool fabric is a natural material and colour variation is evidence of the natural origin of the material. Therefore the product colour is only indicative, as it is not possible to assure consistency of colour in a natural product due to the natural colour of raw wool and absorption of dyes. Colour matching cannot be guaranteed on shipments. The variation will be more pronounced beyond the normal commercial range.
